Avalon Project

Initiative for a Culture of Peace

The Avalon Project is a nongovernmental and non-profit organization, independent of any political ideology or religion, who works in building a Culture of Peace, as defined by United Nations (Sep. 13th 1999).

Avalon Project is an Affiliate Organization of the Earth Charter, and most of his work is educational, while participating with volunteer groups in demonstrations for peace and in various local activities in defense of human rights or life on the planet.

The Project was formulated and driven by Grian in 2004, although it was slowly brewing in Requena (Spain), for over 20 years, in the middle of a large group of friends, conscious individuals who formed the original Avalon Group.

From this initial group, and the implementation of the Project, new groups of people aware of the problems being experienced by humankind and life on the planet have been formed in different parts of Spain, in a fraternal atmosphere where everybody is working on building a new world.
